Spivey Law Firm Continues Support of the Annual Cape Coral Police “Shop with A Cop” Holiday Program
November 16, 2022 | Category: Community Support, Firm News | Share"We at Spivey Law Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.A. are proud to support the Cape Coral Police Department “Shop with A Cop” Holiday Program again this year. Southwest Florida has suffered greatly from the effects of Hurricane Ian. Families are trying to rebuild their lives, and many children have lost everything. It is our privilege to join the Cape Coral Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #33 in bringing some joy to numerous elementary school children in foster care and disabled children in need during the holidays,” said Cape Coral Personal Injury Lawyer Randall Spivey.
The Cape Coral Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #33 is a non-profit local police organization, working for the mutual benefit of the citizens of Cape Coral and Lee County. Police officers personally escort the children as they shop for toys, clothes, shoes, and jackets. The shopping trip puts joy in the eyes of the children and builds camaraderie between the community and the police department.
This is the 20th year of this very special program. The 2022 program will take place on December 22, 2022. The Cape Coral Police Department is accepting applications now. To nominate a child, parents can either pick up a nomination form at the Cape Coral Police Department’s lobby or visit its website at capecops.com.
Parents will need to be able to drop off their child at 9 a.m. and pick them up by 11 a.m. Once the child arrives, they will sign in, receive a name tag with the officer’s name and pair off with their officer. The officer will stay with the child the entire time, as the two enjoy their holiday shopping experience and learn a little bit about each other. After shopping and before parents come to pick them up, the pair will be given a boxed lunch to go.
