At least one person is injured in a motorcycle accident in Southwest Florida every week. Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for motorcyclists, according to federal traffic safety regulators. They are 28 times more likely to die in accidents because they are openly exposed to fixed objects and other vehicles.

• When being passed by a motorcycle, the driver should maintain speed and lane position until the motorcyclist has passed.
• When you see a motorcycle with its turn signal on, wait.
• Know the minimum distance that you need to leave between a vehicle and a motorcycle.
• The difficulty of seeing motorcycles clearly at dusk
• Blind spots inside the vehicle
• The laws of Florida pertaining to motorcycles
