Automotive manufacturers in the United States issued more than 550 recalls for over 52 million vehicles, according to the Associated Press. This means that one out of every five vehicles currently on U.S. roads has been the subject of a recall. One would expect that when buying a new vehicle, the vehicle would not leave the dealer's parking lot or showroom with unrepaired safety recall issues. But that is not always the case.

(Keurig) announced it was recalling over 7 million MINI Plus brewers made between December of 2009 and July 2014. The affected brewers have the model number “K10” and serial numbers that start with 31. Apparently, the company had received hundreds of reports stating that hot liquid was escaping from the brewer during use, which led to some consumers suffering burn-related injuries.

Undercover investigators for 60 Minutes found that three Chinese manufacturers had excessive formaldehyde in the glue which binds the wood particles which make up the core of the laminate boards. Mr. Cooper reported that 100 million square feet of laminate flooring is installed in U.S. homes every year.

MADD notes that while the state has been given a high rating, it still wants lawmakers to do even more to put an end to drunk driving. Auto & SUV Fires - Dangerous and Costly

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident, but it is reported that the SUV carrying the four people was slowing down when a tractor-trailer rear-ended it. Another vehicle crashed into the tractor-trailer. The SUV caught fire.
