Takata Airbags and Other Defective Product Recalls

In May of this year the Department of Transportation expanded their recall of Takata airbag inflators to include an additional estimated 35-40 million inflators. This was on top of 28.8 million Takata inflators already under recall. News of the recall has likely sparked a number of questions in the minds of many consumers, as well as car owners who have been directly affected by the Takata recall.

Hit and Run Accidents On Florida's Waterways

  Hit and run accidents are frequently in the news and are often about vehicle accidents. However, these accidents also happen on our waterways. NBC-2 reported, after a May 29, 2016 Cape Coral boat crash, that authorities were investigating an accident where two juveniles were fishing when a speeding boat hit their boat near the Cape Coral Yacht Club. The boat causing the accident left the scene.  

Could Sonar Technology Prevent Bicycle Accidents?

The Washington Post reported on June 24, 2016 that law enforcement in Ottawa, Canada has adopted new solar technology to help prevent bicycle accidents. The city of Ottawa has a one-meter law. If a vehicle is within one meter of a bicyclist on the road, it is in violation of the law. As with the bicycle laws in the U.S., there has not been a way to enforce this law and protect bicyclists until now.
