North Fort Myers, FL (January 12, 2020) A 14-year-old girl was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday night, according to Lee County deputies.

The girl’s mother, Christine Gray, said her daughter was walking home with a friend on McDaniel Drive, just south of Gish Lane in North Fort Myers, when a driver hit her around 7:00 p.m. Lee County deputies said her friend was also injured by the car, but only broke her arm. The 14-year-old had a twin brother and four sisters.

Deputies confirmed the driver left the scene and has not been found as of now. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on the crash or driver to call its office.
