Florida News Alert - Car Slams Into Tree on McGregor Boulevard Killing Two

Fort Myers, FL (January 8, 2020) Around 1:44 a.m. on Wednesday morning, two people tragically died after a McGregor Boulevard crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) investigators. Porter Danforth White, 19, and Brendan Matthew Belcher, 20, were in a Volkswagen Golf when it ran off the road and hit a concrete median before colliding with a tree on McGregor Park Circle.
The accident happened north of the Pine Ridge Road intersection and all lanes of McGregor Boulevard were closed for about three hours.
FHP troopers reported that the crash was not alcohol-related, and it is currently unknown if the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
