Fort Myers, FL (December 8, 2019) Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported three vehicles were involved in a crash on I-75 around 7:00 p.m. on December 8. Eleven people were injured, with one having serious injuries.  

FHP reported the three vehicles were all driving north in the center lane on I-75 near Daniels Parkway. The three vehicles were traveling one behind the other. The middle vehicle began to slow down in traffic, while the third vehicle did not, causing it to hit the rear end of the middle vehicle.

According to FHP, Carlos Guillen Peroze, 40, the driver of the first car, suffered serious injuries. His passengers, 38-year-old Yusmary Morales, an 8-year-old and a 17-year-old were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Cindy Porter, 57, the driver of the second car had minor injuries, and Josue Cantor, 23, the driver of the third car also had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Mr. Cantor’s passengers, 30-year-old Arnaldo Navarrete, 34-year-old Miguel Cabreras, 49-year-old Ramon Cartagena, and 41-year-old Cornelio Hernandez were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Mr. Perozo was charged with careless driving.
