Lee County, FL (June 21, 2020) The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that a 36-year-old man tragically died in a three-car crash on I-75 near Bayshore Road Sunday night.

The victim was driving north on I-75 around 11:00 p.m. when two other cars involved in the accident were driving south. His pickup truck hit the right side of the second car. After this happened, the man got out of the truck. A 44-year-old woman from Lehigh Acres was driving the second car. She got out of her vehicle, along with both of her passengers.

A 48-year-old woman from Fairhaven was driving a third vehicle which hit the front of the second car.

The 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP.

Four others were injured – the driver of the third car sustained serious injuries, along with two of her passengers. A 51-year-old man from Fort Myers, also a passenger, sustained minor injuries.

No one was injured in the second car.

The FHP is still investigating the accident.
