Port Charlotte, FL (January 30, 2020)  One person tragically died in a crash at El Jobean Road and Biscayne Drive in Port Charlotte on Thursday afternoon.

Charlotte County deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 31-year-old Shanni Cardoso was driving a 1998 Mercury Sable and was stopped at an eastbound intersection of SR776. IIija Jovanovich, 59, was riding a motorcycle westbound on SR776. When Cardoso entered the intersection in front of the motorcyclist, investigators say they crashed. Mr. Jovaovich was tragically killed in the accident.
