Florida News Alert – Three Victims in Hit-and-Run Crash
January 27, 2020 | Category: Automobile Accidents, Florida News Alerts | ShareLee County, FL (January 25, 2020) On Saturday morning, three people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Palm Beach Boulevard near I-75.
Delight Magomo, 27, was driving eastbound on Palm Beach Boulevard with two passengers, Sonja Kelly, 49, and Breana Selby, 22.
Juan Andres Amado, 47, was driving in a separate vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-150, eastbound on Palm Beach Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that Mr. Magomo lost control of his car. The front left of his car hit the back right of Mr. Amado’s truck.
Mr. Amado left the scene of the accident, according to investigators. His truck was later found at the Pilot Truck Stop on Luckett Road. He was found at his home and arrested.
Mr. Magomo, Ms. Selby, and Ms. Kelly were all taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Mr. Magomo is facing a charge of careless driving and a charge of no proof of insurance.
Authorities report that Mr. Amado is facing six charges, four of which are hit-and-run charges, one charge of operating a vehicle without a valid license and a charge of the attached tag not being assigned. He was previously arrested seven other times for traffic-related charges, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
