A new Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Liberty Mutual  survey of 1,708 11th and 12th graders reported that nearly a quarter of teens in the U.S. (23%), admit to driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or prescription drugs used illegally at some point.  Teens, according to the survey, don't believe their behavior causes them any danger; in fact, 20% of those surveyed believed their driving performance improved when using alcohol or drugs.

Although it is important to do everything we can to keep our driving teens safe and help them avoid vehicle accidents every month of the year, May is National Youth Traffic Safety Month®.   This month the United States joins in the global initiative to reduce youth traffic deaths and injuries." said Randall Spivey of Spivey Law Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.A.
