On Sunday, October 28, 2012, David Vanaman's church family at Cross Way Baptist Church where he is the pastor, joined together in prayer for his recovery.  David Vanaman, father of 9, was critically injured in a crash at the dangerous intersection of Metro Parkway Extension and Briarcliff Road last Monday, October 22.  The Metro Parkway Extension had been open less than 24 hours when the crash occurred at an intersection with no traffic signals, not even temporary ones.  Since then, then there have been two more accidents. 

Randall Spivey, Spivey Law Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.A., the family's attorney said, "Mr. Vanaman has been in a medically induced coma since the accident.  When doctors removed him from the medically induced coma Sunday, October 28, he only had a minimal response to pain stimulus, and no voluntary response.  They will be monitoring his condition closely to watch for signs of a response."

"The Vanaman family and Spivey Law Firm are requesting traffic signals, even temporary ones, be installed immediately to prevent further accidents."

The public is urged to get involved; let Florida Department of Transportation know lights must be installed at this dangers intersection.
