As in previous years, the selection process is multi-phased and involves peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluation. Points are given that determine which Florida lawyers will be recognized in the Florida Super Lawyers Top Lists.

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a multiphase selection process, according to the publication. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third-party research and each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
