The risks of being in a motorcycle accident in Florida are high in comparison with other states. Thousands of motorcyclists experience life-changing injuries and even death on our roads. The Florida Highway Patrol reported two motorcyclists tragically died after they were involved in a head-on collision with a pickup truck in Marion County, Florida in May 2021. The crash happened around 9:10 p.m. on State Road 200 near SW 147 Lane. The pickup was driven by a 56-year-old man who was traveling south and entered the northbound lane to pass other vehicles. FHP says the pickup was speeding when it struck the northbound motorcycle head-on.

Some motorcyclists are thrown from their bikes when they collide and either hit the ground, another object, or the vehicle colliding with them.
