"Every year we are privileged to be the main sponsor of the ABATE Veterans’ Christmas Event. We truly appreciate the service our veterans gave to all of us so we may enjoy our freedom as American citizens. This has been a particularly difficult year for Southwest Florida, and we encourage everyone’s continued support of this effort to make the holidays special for our veterans at the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans’ Home in Port Charlotte, who sacrificed so much for us” said Florida Motorcycle Accident Attorney Randall Spivey.

This year, there is a change in how the event will be conducted.  There will not be a motorcycle parade to Port Charlotte. The organization will deliver the donated gifts.

Participants are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts such as Christmas stockings filled with toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, candy, magazines, razors, and shaving cream) to Sun Sports Cycle and Watercraft at 3441 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers on Saturday, December 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Sunday, December 18 from 9 a.m. until noon. (The veterans do not need any socks this year, but monetary contributions will be accepted.)

ABATE of Southwest Florida is a non-profit organization of motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life that influences and educates the government and the public to advocate motorcycle riding with a safe and positive image.

SW Florida ABATE urgently needs everyone’s support for this event as they have done so in the past. Let’s all join together in making sure our veterans are remembered this holiday season as in the past. SW Florida ABATE needs your help!
