This is why we support the mission of the DasHuh Basketball Foundation,” said Attorney Randall Spivey.
The DasHuh (That’s Her) Basketball Foundation (DHBF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) AAU girls’ basketball traveling organization, was created in 2008 with a vision to provide middle and high school-aged girls an opportunity to develop their skills to the highest level through participation in local and national networks of basketball events. The purpose is to promote and develop the power of youth basketball for female athletes by teaching life skills, stressing the importance of education, and simultaneously providing a positive, yet, competitive environment of sportsmanship, teamwork, reinforcing self-confidence, and training the girls to compete at their highest ability.
DHBF’s team is composed of players from Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties. The goal of DHBF is to educate and motivate girls on the mental and physical fundamentals of basketball so they can compete locally, at top-rate tournaments, and NCAA-sanctioned college exposure events. Since its inception, 19 girls have earned college basketball scholarships through the DHBF program.
