The Naples Asian Professionals Association announced it is holding its annual Asia Fest in celebration of the Lunar New Year: The Year of the Dog. This celebration will feature Asian cuisine, vendors and live cultural entertainment, and will be held on February 9, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Alliance for the Arts on McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers.

The Naples Asian Professionals Association (NAPA) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. A portion of the net proceeds from Asia Fest go to support the organization’s mission of promoting the professional development of Asian Americans in Southwest Florida. Scholarships are provided by NAPA to local students, and financial support is also given to other non-profit partners in education.

In 2018, the organization raised thousands of dollars at its annual Asia Fest to provide grants and educational support.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship from NAPA, Asian-American high school students in Collier County and Lee County are evaluated on the basis of their academic achievements, commitment to community services, an essay, and a final review by the NAPA committee.

NAPA asks the community to join them in helping to enrich their community with cultural diversity as well as other multicultural values.
